Terms of Use
Last updated: 6 October 2026
1. General provisions
1.1. These Terms of Use (the "Terms") govern the use of the online service at r7guard.com, including the account area (the "Service"), provided by the Administration.
1.2. By using the Service, including taking out a subscription, paying for services or gaining access to the Service's features, the User confirms having read these Terms in full and accepting them in their entirety.
1.3. If the User does not agree with the Terms, the User must stop using the Service.
2. Nature of the services
2.1. The Service provides services of an intangible (digital) nature: subscription-based access to a VPN service — an encrypted connection through the Service's servers, with server selection and subscription management in the account area.
2.2. The scope of services, plans, subscription periods and renewal terms are stated in the Service (on the plans page) before payment.
2.3. The subscription may renew automatically. Auto-renewal can be switched off in the account area at any time; the next charge date is shown in advance.
2.4. The list of servers and the characteristics of the Service may change. The Service does not guarantee compatibility with all third-party services, applications and networks: their operation depends on those third parties and is not controlled by the Administration.
3. Disclaimer of warranties and liability
3.1. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" basis.
3.2. The Administration does not warrant:
- that the Service will meet the User's expectations;
- the achievement of any financial, commercial, professional or other results;
- uninterrupted and error-free operation of the Service, or any particular connection speed.
3.3. The Administration is not liable for:
- any direct or indirect losses, including lost profit;
- the consequences of the User's use of the Service;
- acts or omissions of third parties;
- temporary technical failures and access restrictions.
3.4. All decisions about using the Service are made by the User independently and at the User's own risk.
4. Lawful use
4.1. The Service is not intended to encourage, organise or facilitate unlawful activity.
4.2. The User undertakes to use the Service solely within the limits of applicable law and third-party rules.
4.3. The User must not use the Service to send spam, distribute malware, attempt unauthorised access to other people's systems and accounts, infringe third-party rights, or resell access to the Service without the Administration's permission.
4.4. Responsibility for the lawfulness of the use of the Service rests entirely with the User.
5. Intellectual property
5.1. All materials and elements of the Service (design, texts, software components, trademarks) are protected by intellectual-property law.
5.2. The User must not copy, distribute, resell, transfer to third parties or otherwise use the materials of, or access to, the Service without the rights holder's permission.
5.3. Infringement of intellectual-property rights may result in restriction of access to the Service without compensation.
6. Restriction of access
6.1. The Administration may suspend or restrict the User's access to the Service in the event of:
- a breach of these Terms;
- detected abuse;
- requirements of the law or of payment providers.
6.2. Restriction of access does not release the User from obligations that arose earlier.
6.3. The Administration reserves the right to refuse service to Users whose actions may create elevated risks for the Service, payment providers or third parties.
7. Payments, subscription and refunds
7.1. Services are paid for by bank card or another method available on the payment provider's checkout page. The plan, amount, period and terms of subsequent charges are stated in the Service before payment. A paid plan on the r7guard.com website can be taken as a subscription with automatic renewal (clause 7.2) or paid for once, without automatic renewal: in that case access lasts until the end of the period paid for, and the next period is paid for at the User's discretion.
7.2. Subscriptions renew automatically (recurring payments). By subscribing, the User authorises charging the price of each next period to the linked payment method at the start of that period, at the rate in effect when the subscription was taken out, until the subscription is cancelled. For this purpose the payment provider keeps the User's consent to the charges given in the User's bank (including a subscription through the Faster Payments System, SBP) or a secure identifier (token) of the payment method; card and bank account details are neither passed to nor stored by the Service. The free week (clause 7.3) is not a subscription with automatic renewal, and no consent to charges is given for it.
7.3. The User may be granted a free week — 7 days of access to the paid features of the Service. It is started on the r7guard.com website, costs nothing, requires no bank card or other payment method, and does not renew automatically. The free week is granted once per account, per email address and per device; the Administration may refuse or end it where there are signs of abuse (for example, mass registration of accounts). When the week ends, access to the paid features ends; the User may continue using them by taking a paid plan. The Service may remind the User that the week is ending by email to the account's address and by a notification in the app; the User can unsubscribe from the emails using the link in any of them.
7.4. The User may switch off auto-renewal at any time in the account area ("Subscription" section) or through support. Access continues until the end of the period already paid for, and no further charges are made. Cancelling a subscription through the Faster Payments System (SBP) cannot be undone: automatic renewal can be resumed only by taking out a new subscription. An SBP subscription can also be cancelled through the link in the email the payment service sends after each charge.
7.5. 30-day money-back guarantee. If the Service does not suit the User, the User may, within 30 calendar days of the first charge of the full plan price, contact support and receive a full refund of that payment without giving a reason. The guarantee applies once per account; after the refund, the subscription and access to paid features end.
7.6. In addition, the User is entitled to a refund for any period in which the service was not provided, or access to it was in fact not granted, due to a technical fault of the Service.
7.7. In all other cases, amounts already charged for the current period are not refunded; cancelling auto-renewal stops only future charges.
7.8. Refund procedure: the User sends a request to support from the email address of the account or from the account area. An approved refund is made to the same payment method used for the payment within 10 business days; the time it takes to arrive depends on the User's bank.
7.9. Subscriptions purchased through app stores (App Store, Google Play) are paid for, renewed, cancelled and refunded under the rules of the respective store and through it. Clauses 7.2–7.8 apply to payments made on the r7guard.com website.
7.10. The User undertakes not to initiate a chargeback through payment systems without first contacting the Service's support.
8. Privacy
8.1. The Administration collects the minimum data necessary to operate the Service. How that data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy published in the Service.
8.2. The Administration takes reasonable measures to protect the data but does not guarantee absolute security of transmitted information.
9. Changes to the Terms
9.1. The Administration may amend these Terms.
9.2. The current version of the Terms is published in the Service.
9.3. Continued use of the Service means the User agrees to the updated Terms.
10. Contact information
10.1. For any questions, the User can contact support: support@r7guard.com; support page — r7guard.com/support.
By using the Service, including taking out a subscription and paying for services, the User confirms having read these Terms and accepting them in their entirety.
