Privacy Policy
Last updated: 6 October 2026
This Privacy Policy governs the collection, use and protection of information about users of the Service. The Service collects account identifiers, technical information and a history of interactions with the Service. The data is used to operate the Service, communicate with the User and improve its quality. Information may be shared with third parties only where the law requires it, where it is needed to fulfil obligations to the User, or with the User's consent. Data is kept for as long as necessary and protected within reasonable limits.
1. General provisions
1.1. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") governs how information that the User provides when using the website r7guard.com, including the account area (the "Service"), is processed and protected.
1.2. By using the Service, the User confirms acceptance of the Policy. If the User does not agree with its terms, the User must stop using the Service.
2. Information we collect
2.1. The Service may collect the following types of data:
- account identifiers (email address, login, ID);
- technical information (IP address, browser, device and operating-system details);
- a history of interactions with the Service (selected plan, subscription and payment status, support requests);
- information about how the User arrived at the website: the link or advertising campaign tags (UTM) the User followed, the address of the referring website, the device type and the date of the visit.
2.2. The Service does not ask the User for passport data, documents, photographs or any other personal information beyond the minimum needed for it to work. The Service does not collect or store bank card details: payments are processed by a payment provider on its secure page, and the Service receives only the result of the payment.
2.3. The website stores cookies and local records in the User's browser: a random visitor identifier (cookie "r7v", up to 1 year) and the tag of the link the User followed (cookie "r7ref", up to 30 days). They are used to count visits from advertising and partner links without double counting and to record which link an account was created from. These records contain no name, email address or other contact details; neither the IP address nor the full browser string (User-Agent) is stored when visits are counted. The User can delete or block cookies in the browser settings; this does not affect the Service.
2.4. So that the free week (clause 7.3 of the Terms of Use) is granted only once, the Service keeps its link to the device identifier, to the account's email address in a normalised form, and to the IP address from which it was started. This information is used only to protect against abuse.
3. Use of information
3.1. The Service may use the information it receives solely to:
- operate its features, including providing access under a paid subscription;
- communicate with the User (including notifications and support);
- analyse and improve the Service;
- measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and partner links, including which link an account was created from.
3.2. Around the end of the free week the Service may send the User a few reminder emails to the account's address and show a notification in the app. The User can unsubscribe from the emails using the link in any of them.
4. Sharing with third parties
4.1. The Administration does not pass the data it receives to third parties, except:
- where required by law;
- where necessary to fulfil obligations to the User (for example, when working with payment systems);
- where the User has given consent.
4.2. Partners who publish links to the Service (for example, content authors) may receive only aggregate statistics for their links — the number of visits, sign-ups and payments — without any data that could identify a User.
5. Storage and protection of data
5.1. Data is kept for the period needed to achieve the purposes of processing, or for the period required by law.
5.2. The Administration takes reasonable measures to protect the data but cannot guarantee absolute security of information transmitted over the internet.
6. Disclaimer
6.1. The User understands and agrees that transmitting information over the internet always involves risk.
6.2. The Administration is not liable for loss, theft or disclosure of data caused by third parties or by the User.
7. Changes to the Policy
7.1. The Administration may amend the Policy without prior notice.
7.2. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means the User accepts the updated version of the Policy.
8. Contact
8.1. For questions about this Policy or the Service, the User can contact support at support@r7guard.com; support page — r7guard.com/support.
